A-Z Challenge:G

G day. I know it's very late. But I'm counting it since it's before midnight. I'll have to do H early in the morning. :)

Galaxy Quest

If you are in the least geeky, you should know and love this movie. I can't help you if you don't. I can only shake my head sadly.
A washed up scifi actor doing conventions is asked by aliens to help them fight an evil warlord. He takes along his TV show crew to help much to their surprise.
Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Enrico Colantoni, Daryl Mitchell and Sam Rockwell make it a full fun cast.

Sir Alexander Dane: By Grabthar's hammer, by the sons of Worvan, you shall be avenged.

The Ghost and Mrs.Muir

This is one of the first old movies I remember seeing. I am certain it is why I adore cottages and ghosts. With age I have grown to love Mrs. Muir's independence. She writes the book for the ghost captain and stands up on her own in the face of a family that wants to bring her home.

Captain Daniel Gregg: You must make your own life amongst the living and, whether you meet fair winds or foul, find your own way to harbor in the end.

The Goodbye Girl

This has to be my favorite Richard Dreyfuss movies. I love lots of his work, and one or two may show up, but this one? Is the most animate and fun. Elliot Garfield is so sweet and funny. He can't be pushed around though.
An actor moves to NY for a job to find his sublet apartment still inhabited by the last tenant's ex -girlfriend and her daughter. Marsha Mason is wonderful. The two play off each other beautifully. Neil Simon's witty dialogue keeps me laughing every time I see it.

Elliot Garfield: You know I love listening to you talk. I hate living with you but your conversation is first rate.
