A-Z Challenge: O

I am so sorry for being behind! It's been one long few days. Lots of running around and sitting outside enjoying the nice weather:) So here are three back to back: O, P, Q. Whew!

O' Brother Where Art Thou

Loosely based on Homer's the Odyssey with a fun twist.George Clooney is fabulous. The soundtrack is awesome and catchy. Some of the scenes are just to funny for words:)

George Clooney, John Turturro, Tim Blake Nelson, John Goodman, Holly Hunter

Delmar O'Donnell: Care for some gopher?
Ulysses Everett McGill: No thank you, Delmar. One third of a gopher would only arouse my appetite without bedding it down.
Delmar O'Donnell: Oh, you can have the whole thing. Me and Pete already had one apiece. We ran across a whole... gopher village.

This is such a sweet movie. I don't know if I would have found it if one of the songs hadn't won an Oscar. But I am so glad it did and I was able to enjoy it.
A street musician meets a young pianist who joins his other musicians.
Glen Hansard, Markéta Irglová

Girl: How come you don't play during daytime? I see you here everyday.
Guy: During the daytime people would want to hear songs that they know, just songs that they recognize. I play these song at night or I wouldn't make any money. People wouldn't listen.
Girl: I listen.

This was insanely scary. It creeped me out for days! Dark, ominous, freaky.
