A-Z Challenge: American Dreamer

I had no intention of doing a theme until about twenty minutes ago. But I was realizing the idea of just winging it was causing me more anxiety than anything else.

Unfortunately the only thing I know is movies. Along with 96% of the bloggers out there.

My post will have a number depending on my own inability to decide between movies. It may be one, it may be five. I just don't know. They will all be letter based though :) And all will be from my Netflix, so if you have that service you will be able to find them there :))

So, it being the first day my I am going with a fun little movie called American Dreamer.

Cathy Palmer: [Striking an akido pose] Hah! You're lucky you're still alive.
Alan McMann: I'm on a streak.

A housewife dreaming of being a writer wins a contest, goes to Paris and almost immediately has an accident that leaves her memory wonky. She wakes up thinking she is a book character. She runs around Paris trying to solve a mystery she believes she has stumbled on, dragging a disgruntled (and handsome) Tom Conti with her :)

It is adorable and fun. And if you don't want to be the end of this movie, well, that would just be sad, I say sad.

I also want to say thank you to Arlee Bird for working hard to keep this alive so that I may be able to finally get myself involved :) Thank you :)

  1. That's an interesting beginning of the challenge. Haven't seen this movie but will now check it out whenever possible. :)

  2. Greetings from Texas--"Tate's Other Side"
I too am a movie person (Though I hate it when it gets in the way of my writing) I particularly like movies that make me say "I wish I'd thought of that"
Like the trailer for the new movie-TRANCE. Just saying hi!

  3. Oh that sounds like it would be a fun one to watch. I'm so not a movie buff so looking forward to seeing which ones you spotlight :)

  4. I AM a movie girl, but have not seen this one! Now on my list of ones to watch - that list is almost as long as my books to be read pile :-/

  5. @Herding Cats - Burning Soup
As a book gal I think it would right up your alley :)

  6. @James R Tate
I like those kind too:) There are a number coming up that will be more like that. (Dark City) This is just sweet and fun :)
