A-Z Challenge: D

It was a trying day and tomorrow may be just as bad, so I'm going to just jump right on in with day of D :)

Dark City

I told you Mr. Sewell would be back:) Hmmmm...Rufus :) This time he is the star of the show. A man whose memories can't be trusted. Nor can anyone he knows. Or does he know them? Everything seems to be controlled by strange men in black coats. They are almost as creepy as The Gentlemen from Buffy. Almost. Though Kiefer Sutherland's breathy monologues are pretty creepy on their own. (Anyone else notice he still sounds like that? Even in Touch?)
It's a full cast here as well, William Hurt (awesomeness), Jennifer Connelly (so pretty), even a super creepy Richard O'Brien folks :)

Dirty Dancing

Because I still love it and cry at the end and no one puts Baby in the corner, that's why.

Dogma

Ah. One of my favorite Kevin Smith movies. Hard to believe the same person made Clerks 2. So sad.
But we are talking about this one.
Where a woman is informed that she is a descendant of Jesus and has to stop two expelled angels from re-entering Heaven thus saving the whole of existence.
What else would one do over the weekend. I can barely get dressed, but that's me.
I think this is one of his wittiest works. It's fast, smart, silly. Not for the easily offended.
And seriously is anyone not in this? Linda Fiorentino, Jason Lee, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Rock, the late George Carlin, Salma Hayek, Alan Rickman. Even Bud Cort. ( Harold of Harold and Maude! )

Metatron: You people. If there isn't a movie about it, it's not worth knowing, is it?

:))

Dogma- great flick. I remember crossing protest lines when it was in theaters. Not to see it. Not even to see a movie. I was just trying to get to my bank to deposit my paycheck.
