Just a Quickie, Thank You

Woke up early this morning. On a Saturday. Actually I can’t be all that ‘oh god it was a pain’. I only started my Mon. Wed. Fri a few months ago. I was getting up at 4AM on Saturdays before that. So really? This didn’t bother me at all.
But I was sleeping when the alarm went off. I usually wake just before it does that. Not today. I did learn that it gets louder and louder and more and more insistent if it’s not turned off. And I don’t have a snooze button :)

So anyway, I was up early to get an extra treatment in. Well, not a treatment per se. They didn’t do the blood cleaning, it was just to get extra fluid off. They call it sequentialization. And as I mentioned to the nurse, I must feel really yucky to want to get stuck two days in a row. Cause, yeah. Me+Needles=Not so priceless.

I will just ump ahead.

All went well!

We took of two kilos ( 4.4 lbs). Yay! My heart rate stayed at a wonderful 80-90 the whole time. Never hit a three digit mark. My BP went down only once and then bounced right back up to 120.

Which also proves ( I think) that I was right when I kept saying it was the dialyzer that keeps making my heart rate and BP all wonky.

So we decided to talk to the doctor, to see if there is a way to do the sequential during each treatment so I don’t have to keep coming in for extras. It may mean 4 hours instead of the 3 and a half, but if it works then let’s get it going already!

Today I left with a great heart rate, BP and very, very close to my dry weight. We probably would have gotten even more off, but the needle was starting to act up and we just didn’t want to mess around with it.

I think we can get a bit more off. But for this weekend. I feel soooo much better.

Go team!

And have I mentioned how I rock? I really must because I pick the best people to know :)

Thank you all for you kind words and encouragement! You all rock it out of the park! I am so lucky, honored and happy to know you all.

Thank you for making my life better :)

From a better barrel have a great weekend!
