A Real Summer Day

First things first: Good News!

The Cheerful Scoop, a blog with happy news stories, has a link up for coffee drinkers.

Check it out Coffee Good.

I'm having a second cup! Yay!

And Turnbaby Talks is moving to Tuesday! I will like that a lot. Since Sunday is usually sleep day, Tuesday will be easier to listen live on.

Now, where was I going? Oh yes! Yesterday we had, I believe, to be the fourth actual beautiful summer day. Really!

It wasn't overly hot, humid or cloudy. The sun was shining, there was a nice warm breeze. Breeze, not winds at 40MPH.
G was in a pleasant mood when he arrived home.

You could have knocked me over with a feather.

With all of that going on, we decided it was time for a bike ride.
We have an old tandem  bike.  He finally had the tires fixed for the season and this would be our first ride of the summer. I know!

We headed on down to the Falls and I used up the last of my batteries taking pictures.

Then we headed home. It was a nice ride. I'm glad we finally went for one.

These are at the falls. The mist was blowing around everywhere. I had to wipe down the camera twice. It was insane refreshing.

These are from various spots on the Three Sisters' Islands.  This is as close as you can get to the water without being swept away. Seriously.

This was as we went over one of the bridges. Pretty.

These two I was just playing around with some filters on. The bottom one is pretty neat.

Tomorrow is Friday! I'm looking forward to the opening ceremonies and maybe going out for a bit.  Saturday I will be out for sure.

  1. Gah! It looks so cool there! It's so hot here that I am miserable. I am so envious of people where the temp is moderate right now.

  2. It was very nice and cool. You would loved it here yesterday and today...High 60's, no humidity. Last night it was in the 50's. Chilly yes, but perfect for sleeping.
